A Passion for Technology and Big Data
With a passion for technology, Robert founded Ultra Tendency as a spin-off of the Institute for Distributed Systems of Magdeburg University, Germany in 2010. Robert's vision was to provide innovative solutions for Big Data infrastructure, whose importance he understood ahead of time and how it could be used to generate new value for companies across the world.
Jan and Robert have had a close relationship with Microsoft and specifically Azure. Robert was a former intern in Redmond, part of the C++ team, and was involved in the development of Azure when it was still called Red Dog.
Jan, on the other hand, was a global MVP for Azure from 2013 to 2016 and was very active in the Azure community. He was also an Azure trainer, which helped to establish a close relationship between the two companies.
